La Maison des Histoires is the brand-new concept from Chantelivre, the oldest bookshop specializing in children's literature in Paris. Created in partnership with the famous publisher L'École des Loisirs, this small immersive museum welcomes children aged 0 to 7 for an exceptional adventure into the heart of their favorite literary worlds! Are you and your family ready to discover the lair of the witch Cornebidouille and Max and the Maximonstres?
In a 130m2 space, children can interact with the décor, on a giant pirate ship, in a small flower garden, on swings in the Maximonstres jungle, or in a pillow pool amid chicks by author Claude Ponti. But first, you have to enter the bookshop from the back, and go through the cabin doors! To enter the children's corner, everyone must remove their shoes!
At the heart of these nine playful worlds based on the children's publisher's most famous stories, you'll fall back into childhood, with creative workshops, meetings with authors, film-reading sessions and musical readings!
Numerous children's books are available for parents and children to read the adventures of all these leading characters together, and enjoy some family bonding time. We're particularly fond of Cornebidouille's disgusting soup-making and boat-climbing activities, perfect for making up stories with friends for the day and creating lovely memories.
There's also a cafe where you can enjoy healthy snacks for the kids, a coffee for mom and dad, or a chilled grenadine for the little ones! Privatizations are available for birthday parties or schools, and themed courses during the school vacations will soon be on offer! Please note, however, that you'll need to book in advance to be sure of getting in!
