A literary café, yes, but not just any café! At Book Nook, or BKNK, you'll find a coffee shop and the premises of Beta Publisher, founded by Camille de Decker. With a large library, pastries, hot drinks and comfortable leather sofas, it's a reader's paradise in the heart of Paris's 9th arrondissement.
This unique venue is divided into two parts: a coffee shop and a reading room. In the former, you'll find a large-scale library housing all the books published by Beta Publisher, and a counter stocked with mouth-watering pastries. In the other, you can chat, eat and read in a warm and cosy atmosphere, on elegant leather or velvet sofas.
No book with you today? Buy one with your pastry! Whether it's fantasy, thrillers, science fiction or reprints of classics, Beta Publisher is a new-generation publishing house that doesn't just offer books! In a transparent approach, readers, authors and publishers come together in the same place to share their passion for reading. Starting in January, the English-style venue will also host reading clubs for adults and children, open to all.
On the menu, you can choose between sweet or savory, between two pages of your favorite book. For brunch, BKNK offers Tartine d'hiver, with Roquefort and honey, or Sweet Tea, with pea guacamole. The pastries, meanwhile, are each associated with a published book: Brookie des Trois Gardes, Lemon Cake du Millième Pin... There are also delicious English scones with jam, waffles in the shape of a fir tree, and Banana Bread.
And to accompany it all, there's no shortage of choice when it comes to beverages. Espresso, mocha, traditional chai tea, charcoal latte, gourmet hot chocolate - all you have to do is choose what to accompany your daily reading!
