After all, we see insects every day, without necessarily paying attention to them or asking ourselves how they live, what they eat? What are the characteristics of each species? So, to help you answer all these questions and explore this miniature world that evolves around us on a daily basis, the Musée du Vexin français, based in Théméricourt, in the Val-d'Oise département, invites you to discover Enquête d'insectes, its exhibition dedicated to these little beasts of our homes, gardens and forests, from January 3 to November 30, 2024.
Slip into the shoes of a family entomologist for the duration of the exhibition, to live like an insect, build 3D insects, discover the superpowers of these little creatures... From ants to mosquitoes, butterflies and grasshoppers, Insect Investigation invites you to discover the world of tiny insects in a particularly fun exhibition, suitable for all ages, including toddlers. And it's a good thing you're going to the Musée du Vexin, because the staff need your help: Arion the butterfly, the exhibition's mascot, is said to have disappeared.
So it's up to you, with the help of a budding detective's notebook, to try and find him! Throughout the exhibition, from January 3 to November 30, 2024, numerous workshops are also offered at the museum, to build an insect hotel, go out in nature to observe them... Admission to this fun-filled exhibition is €4 full price, €2 concessions, and children under 5 are free. All workshops and events cost €3 per person (extra charge), and the museum is open every day except Monday (opening hours vary). An unusual exhibition to discover with the whole family, in the Val-d'Oise!
