Following on from Angry Birds and Snow Adventure, Jurassic Island is coming to the Jardin d'Acclimatation, the legendary amusement park in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Enter the arena of this new VR attraction that takes you straight back to theage of the dinosaurs, without leaving the capital!
The roars of T-Rexes, the hisses of Velociraptors and the rumblings of Spinosaurus can now be heard at the Jardin d'Acclimatation. These creatures of the Jurassic era have emerged from the depths of the past, and a team of intrepid paleontologists have gone into the field to understand this incredible phenomenon. But they're not alone! Their helicopter is now out of action, and they've been forced to take refuge under a secure dome, where you too, daring adventurers, can join them for an unprecedented experience.
Needless to say, these behemoths are ravenous carnivores, and no one knows when they had their last meal. So get ready to be on the front line of an epic encounter with the most fearsome predators in Earth's history.
Take courage and step through the dome door before settling into one of the dynamic simulators that will transport you to a lost world where prehistoric giants reign supreme. Your pulse will race, your breath will catch and you'll come face to face with danger at every turn.
Our verdict: the sensations are definitely there, especially thanks to the shaking of the simulators. Beware, however, if you're prone to motion sickness, you might be a little more sensitive to the experience. What's more, the attraction is not recommended for arachnophobes, and even though this information is given at the entrance, we don't necessarily pay attention to it. A final word of advice for those who wear glasses: if you have them, opt for a pair with slim temples, so you can get through the VR headset without too much trouble.
