Lueurs de Mantes 2024-2025: the free artistic light trail returns to Yvelines

Mantes-la-Jolie is shining brightly this winter! For the second time, this Yvelines town is organizing a large-scale, original nocturnal event in the footsteps of its cultural heritage. Join us from December 13, 2024 to February 1, 2025 to discover "Lueurs de Mantes", a luminous and artistic itinerary where illuminated scenographies mingle with digital artworks.

Every winter, the number of light trails in Paris and Île-de-France increases. After Thoiry Lumières Sauvages, Lumières en Seine and the Jardin des Plantes light festival, get ready to discover"Lueurs de Mantes". To be seen for the second time in Mantes-la-Jolie, from December 13, 2024 to February 1, 2025, this winter event invites young and old alike to immerse themselves in the cultural heritage of this commune in the Yvelines region, through an original itinerary combining light scenography and digital artworks.

For the moment, the program for this new edition has not yet been unveiled. But the city has confirmed the return of"Lueurs de Mantes" for the 2024-2025 season. So stay tuned for more details!

Last year, visitors were able to discover a 1.3 km trail of luminous art, spread throughout downtown Mantes-la-Jolie, with 7 works including 2 creations, 10 artists of national and international renown, 12 luminous portraits of local sportsmen and women, 1 architectural projection and 2 exceptional shows!

In detail, artists Sébastien Lefèvre, Arnaud Giroud, David Lesort, Jérémie Bellot, Josselin Fouché, Olivier Ratsi, Nicolas Paolozzi and Julien Nonnon unveiled luminous installations sublimating several treasures of the town's heritage. These included the Hôtel de Ville, Place du Marché au Blé, Tour Saint-Maclou, Square du Château and the courtyard of the Musée de l'Hôtel-Dieu. The Collégiale de Mantes-la-Jolie was illuminated by a laser projection, while a drone show took to the skies to close the first edition of"Lueurs de Mantes". Finally, twelve portraits of Mantes sportsmen and women were projected onto the gables of buildings in the city center.
