Christmas at Château de Dampierre en Yvelines: Lights, immersive shows and walks on the program

Among the castles around Paris that are enchanting us for Christmas, discover the program imagined by the Château de Dampierre, located in the Yvelines. Wondering what to do over the Christmas vacations? We've got some ideas for you, your family or just the two of you.

From December 14 onwards, the courtyards of the château will be transformed into a magical world, with illuminated displays and decorations lighting up the façade and gardens. Visitors are invited to stroll through this enchanting setting and observe the castle's illuminated interiors through the windows, an ideal setting for young and old alike.

The park is also revealed in a different light thanks to horse-drawn carriage rides pulled by American mules, an original experience that lets you savor the winter beauty of the gardens and forest park.

Children are not forgotten, with dedicated activities including readings of Christmas tales in the heart of the château and pony workshops organized every Wednesday.

For lovers of culture and entertainment, the château offers a series of events:

• Theatrical strolls by the Diapason company: "Journey to the heart of Jules Verne's works", December 15, January 4 and 5, at 2:30 and 4:00 pm.

To prolong this festive interlude, the estate opens its boutique and tearoom, where you can enjoy local sweets or a hot drink in a convivial atmosphere.

The Domaine opens its doors to us for its festive program, from December 14, 2024 to January 5, 2025, from 10am to 5:30pm, with closing on December 25 and January 1. Admission is €10 for adults and free for under-18s. The"Journey to the heart of the works of Jules Verne" shows cost €25 (or €15 for under-12s), the Magic Lantern show is €18 (or €8 for 6-12s), and cinema screenings are €5.
