Christmas at the Château de Chantilly 2024: illuminations, delicacies and shows on the program

Every year, the Château de Chantilly plunges its visitors into a magical world in the run-up to Christmas. Sparkling decorations, sumptuous Christmas decorations and gourmet delights transform the château and its surroundings into a fairytale setting. The park and Grandes Écuries are also part of this festive atmosphere, with equestrian shows and creative workshops to make this time of year even more special.

Visiting the Château de Chantilly during the festive season is a real fairytale. Whether you're strolling through the gardens, admiring the incredible architecture of the famous monument, or indoors to soak up the magic of Christmas, we're sure you'll be seduced this winter season.

Christmas evenings are a must on the program, allowing us to explore the castle after dark, accompanied by storytellers who bring various rooms to life with Christmas stories. There's also a chance to meet Santa Claus in the Galerie des Cerfs on December 21, 22 and 23, with tickets starting at €15. For those who love culinary traditions, the Chantilly cream workshop, run by the Confrérie des Chevaliers Fouetteurs, lets you discover the art of this famous cream in a unique setting.

The château will also welcome the Ménestrel children's choir on December 7, who will perform Christmas carols in the Cour d'Honneur. For the little ones, period costumes will be available for visiting the château as princes and princesses. Finally, several end-of-year exhibitions are on offer, including one on contemporary bibliophily and another on Louise d'Orléans, first Queen of the Belgians.

There's no shortage of Christmas decorations in the château. Fir trees and mantels are richly embellished with gold braids, wicks and jasmines, little jewels of silk and gold thread and ribbons.

Imagine a sumptuous and incredible Christmas table in the Galerie des Cerfs. There's so much to see, you can't put your eyes on it, and you'll be transported by the festive atmosphere as you imagine yourself dining at this table on Christmas Eve. In this room, Santa Claus awaits children on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
