Contes et Histoires 2024: Santa's secrets revealed at Château de Vincennes

Contes et Histoires is the not-to-be-missed family event for the festive season. Created by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, this major cultural event enables families, and especially children, to discover the wealth of France's heritage during the Christmas vacations. For this 2024 edition, the Château de Vincennes, at the gateway to Paris, awaits us for a stroll we won't soon forget!

From December 27 to 29, 2024, and from January 3 to 5, 2025, this medieval historic monument takes us on an unusual adventure to discover the stories and secrets of this castle. This fortress, built between the 14th and 17th centuries, is the largest royal fortified castle still standing in France. It has stood the test of time, surviving changes of regime, wars, natural disasters... Today, this fortress bears witness toFrance's history and is a place of national remembrance.

During this new edition of Contes et Histoires, the Château de Vincennes invites us to take part in an unusual activity, to visit and discover the monument in a different way, while celebrating the festive season:

• Lutinerie de Noël: a real fake lecture by authentic elves
  Let the merry elves tell you Christmas stories at the Château de Vincennes! Why do we celebrate Christmas? Who hands out the presents? Since when does Santa dress in red? Who better to answer these questions than real elves? After all, they've been watching us for centuries!
  Ulrik the Tomte is a household spirit. He lives discreetly in the house, and for once, he's willing to be seen! Gwen-Korneli Korigan is Santa's elf! He's taken part in his tours and traveled all over the world! Now he's here on a secret mission... But shh! We've already said too much!
