Contes et Histoires 2024: visit Wonderland at the Château de Champs-sur-Marne

Contes et Histoires is the magical event imagined by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux to help us rediscover France's heritage, through unusual activities designed for the whole family. During this event, which takes place over the Christmas vacations, young and old alike can enjoy a wonderful program, discovering many historic monuments.

Among the venues participating in the2024 edition of Contes et Histoires is the Château de Champs-sur-Marne, located in Seine-et-Marne (77). On December 30, January 2, 3 and 4, 2025, the monument is invaded by the magic of the festive season. A variety of themed events allow visitors to enjoy this majestic château. It's an opportunity for young and old to discover the history and secrets of this furnished 18th-century residence.

As the year 2024 draws to a close, we're off to take part in the various fun activities organized by the château. This year, the Contes et Histoires à Champs-sur-Marne event takes us to Wonderland... Here's the program of games and shows to discover:

• Champs in Wonderland
  • Puppet show "A travers les miroirs"
    December 30 and January 2, 3 and 4 at 10:30 am
    At the Château de Champs-sur-Marne, mirrors are shining brightly this festive season, attracting everyone's attention... Will you dare to go to the other side of the mirrors and discover wonderful stories with your family? For the little ones, the wandering puppet show.
    À travers les miroirs, conceived and brought to life by La Malle aux images and Fifigrime, will introduce you to the adventures of three well-behaved little girls. Irène, Élisabeth and Alice, portrayed in the paintings of Monsieur Renoir, will discover the magic of mirrors and experience many adventures.

  • Workshop visit Le château à l'envers
    December 30 and January 2, 3 and 4 at 2pm
    For grown-ups, Le château à l'envers, an astonishing workshop visit where everything doesn't necessarily go the right way, and where the mirrors play tricks but are also precious allies in uncovering some of the castle's well-hidden secrets.
    After the tour, take part in a workshop to create your own mirror. A hot chocolate tasting concludes the afternoon.
