March 1994 saw the opening of Issy-les-Moulineaux's first media library. Thirty years later, it's celebrating its anniversary with you, for several days ofcultural and literary events, inspired by the 90s! Right from the start, this lively venue opened on Sundays and at night, a revolutionary concept at the time for the wider practice of culture and reading. To celebrate this past and its future, the mediatheque has put together a series of workshops and conferences, as well as an exhibition and a dance, for the month of March 2024 !
Until June 30, you can discover the"Culture 90" exhibition, which explores a culturally rich decade that saw the emergence of the grunge and hip-hop generation, boy bands, girl power, "Bruelmania", the World Wide Web and the cell phone, among others. Using everyday objects, TV series, films and cult artists, this exhibition takes visitors back in time to their youth!
On Saturday March 16, the Médiathèque turns into a dance floor, but in the 90s! Test your knowledge of the period during the day with blind tests, karaoke, cultural quizzes, Just Dance sessions and board games for all ages, and swing into the night to the sound of nostalgic playlists! And don't forget to dig out the clothes you've had in your closet since you were a teenager!
