A nude exhibition like no other... From March 9 to 30, 2024, Galerie Baudoin Lebon presents Rendez-vous! featuring photographs by Sonia Sieff. Orchestrated by the expert eye of the renowned photographer, this exhibition follows on from the second part of the"Hommage à la Galerie Texbraun" exhibition, dedicated to the male nude. It's also an invitation to explore the poetry and animality of the male body, to coincide with the release of her new book, published by Rizzoli. Opening March 8, 6-9pm.
The Rendez-vous! exhibition is a celebration of the evolution of gender through photographic art. Sonia Sieff, who had already captured the female essence in her previous book Les Françaises, sets out to discover the male body with renewed authenticity and sensitivity. Her new book, eponymous with the exhibition, is a collection of images of fifty men, captured in Europe and as far afield as Africa. These images do more than simply immortalize physical beauty; they invite a deeper reflection on masculinity, illustrating a revolution in the artist's and, by extension, the viewer's gaze.
