Like over forty other gardens in the Paris region, the rose garden at l'Hay-les-Roses has been awarded the "Jardin remarquable" label, and is one of the best-known in the region, along with the Parc de Bagatelle in the 16th arrondissement and Provins in Seine-et-Marne.
Designed in 1894 by Jules Gravereaux, the Roseraie de l'Haÿ-les-Roses, also known as the "Roseraie du Val-de-Marne", boasts a large collection of old roses and a total of over 2,900 different rose species. So, when the roses are in bloom, it's a sight not to be missed, especially when the rose garden is decked out in a thousand colors. To mark the occasion, the site's reception staff will share their passion for the art of landscaping and show you around the rose garden on tours open to all.
