Each year, Rendez-vous aux Jardins delights nature and culture enthusiasts with beautiful strolls, activities, guided tours, exhibitions... To be discovered across France. This event, initiated by the Ministry of Culture, takes place on the first weekend of June and invites the public to explore gardens that are sometimes secret, unusual, and historic, some of which are off limits for the rest of the year. From private gardens to historic green spaces, including the region’s remarkable gardens, why not mark your calendar for Rendez-vous aux Jardins from June 5 to 7, 2026?
The Manoir des Colombières, located in the charming village of Auvers-sur-Oise, is a place steeped in history and beauty. Built in the 17th century, this picturesque building, known for its lovely grounds, has often welcomed artists and writers in search of inspiration. Famous for having been a favorite landscape of the Impressionists, notably Vincent van Gogh, who painted several of his iconic works in the town of Auvers-sur-Oise, the manor is today a symbol of the village's cultural and artistic richness. The Manoir des Colombières is now home to the Musée Daubigny!
The museum park is a beautiful green haven, offering a stroll along tree-lined avenues of centuries-old trees and formal French gardens. You can discover it during these Rendez-vous aux Jardins 2026, with, in addition, a temporary exhibition.
Artworks on display in the garden of the Daubigny Museum.
