Notice to budding artists, the town of Provins awaits you this Sunday, September 15, 2024 for a day under the sign of art, open to all, whether you're an amateur or a professional, adults, teenagers and children, free of charge! This major competition is divided into five categories, with prizes for the top three in each: oil and acrylic, watercolor and drawing, pastel, Grand Jeune Talent or Petit Jeune Talent for under-12s.
The theme? The medieval city of Provins, from every angle. Each artist can choose his or her subject and perception of the town: ramparts, streets, churches, the Tour César, the Grange aux dîmes, and even the Roseraie de Provins, accessible free of charge for the occasion, from 10am. To take part, you'll need to register on the day itself at the Place du Châtel or beforehand, so that your blank medium can be stamped before the competition begins.
Artists must bring an easel with them to display their work at the Roseraie during the jury's deliberations. Participants who so wish will be able to exhibit and sell their artwork for a period of 15 days. What better way to enjoy a day out in this superb medieval city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
