Rendez-vous aux jardins 2024 at Domaine de Sceaux (92): the free discovery program

In spring, the Rendez-Vous aux Jardins invites us to take advantage of the fine weather with cultural visits in the heart of the green spaces that make up our botanical heritage. For the occasion, Paris and the whole of theÎle-de-France region get into the swing of things, and the general public can set out to conquer the parks and gardens that unveil their programs in turn. Numerous guided tours, often free of charge, are planned, as well as special events to delight young and old alike. The Rendez-Vous aux Jardins even give us access to places that are usually closed to the public, and which are exceptionally opening their doors. The next edition is scheduled for the weekend of May 31 to June 2, 2024.

The Parc du Domaine de Sceaux and its Château: history and programming

At Hauts-de-Seine, the Domaine Départemental de Sceaux is a must-see venue, with a vibrant cultural and bucolic program. Listed as a Historic Monument, the estate extends over no less than 184 hectares, dominated by its château. Its formal gardens were designed by the famous French gardener André Le Nôtre, who was also responsible for the gardens at Château de Versailles, Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte and Château de Chantilly. Statues of Flora, Apollo and Daphne, the Grand Canal, the water features of the basins and waterfall, the flowerbeds and copses - at the Domaine de Sceaux, the beautiful verdant landscapes follow one another to transport us back to the heart of the 17th century!
