A glazed terrace in winter, fully openable in summer, a large bar, an open kitchen and a central urban space with neon lights, exposed stonework and designer chairs form the decor.
Open since September, this friendly coffee shop has something to satisfy your cravings all day long, from 8am to 7pm. At the helm is Julien Alda, a barrista who cut his teeth at Loustic café and La Chambre Noire. A coffee lover, he offers a fine selection of specialty coffees from small producers, which change with the seasons.
To accompany your coffees and lattés, choose from a range of homemade cakes and sweets (apart from the viennoiseries, which come from the "Tout autour du pain" bakery). Every day, you can opt for 2 freshly-made juices that change with the seasons.
In the kitchen, Mexican-born chef Mario Flores adds a twist to your dishes. Hungry for more? Don't worry, the plates are generous. No meat at République of Coffee: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or even pisci vegetarian (eggs and fish are on the menu). For vegans, the place offers oat milk to accompany your coffees and granolas.
Opt for the gourmet California Bowl, which combines rice, quinoa, red cabbage, sweet potato, fromage frais, avocado, kale, radish and pickles... Treat yourself to tuna ceviche or generous huevos rancheros. If there's more than one of you, opt for sharing: guacamole, quesadilla and spicy kale chips on the menu.
On Sundays, we treat ourselves to a €20 brunch featuring hot drinks, fresh juices, granola and huevos rancheros. In short, a tasty homemade treat and a good cup of coffee.
