After three months of work, Bistrot des Cinéastes reopened in early March 2017, with a new décor, a new bar and a new menu!
To enter it, you have to round the box office located at Cinéma des Cinéastes entrance and climb up a few stairs to discover, on the first floor of the building, the famous Bistrot des Cinéastes.
On both sides of the room, we discover two sumptuous frescoes by Tofdru.
Between the two, a certain number of chairs and tables with, in the back, a cozier corner surrounded by plants.
The huge and impressive bar hits its marks as well! But what do we drink? The bar list gives pride of place to many delicious beverages including a few creations.
After working for Fouquet’s Hotel, and Westminster Hotel, the young and very friendly Barman chef will prepare you an excellent “Call My Agent” with Hendrik’s Gin, Cointreau, lemon juice, cane sugar and Morello cherry liquor.
Let yourself be tempted by “The Artist” based on 3 Rivière dark rum, almond liquor, egg and cocoa.
Calvados lovers will have the lovely surprise to discover some bottles of this famous spirits as well as two cocktails based on Calvados: the “Calva Tonic” and the “Serendipity” (Manoir d’Apreval Calvados 6 years of age, Normandy Pommeau 12 months of age and Champagne brut Brocard).
Beers, softs or wines complete this wonderful list.
To accompany these drinks, Bistrot des Cinéastes bets on affordable dishes you can enjoy at any time, before or after your session.
For example, we find a certain number of “tapas”: burrata, broccoli soup, toasts… Otherwise, go for the salad of the moment or the cold cuts and cheese boards.
Movie fans, locals or cocktail lovers, patrons gladly come every night from 6 p.m., so why won’t you?
