After La Candelaria or Ballroom, here’s another Parisian bar that decided to get inspired by the Prohibition: this famous era during which production, transport, import, export and sale of alcoholic drinks was prohibited in some countries…
Its name? Moonshiner. Located in Paris 11th arrondissement, this cocktail bar open since May 2013 owes its concept to the team who works UFO, Orange Mécanique, Rock’n’Roll Circus, Kremlin or Dirty Dick.
And what a concept! We must say that you have to know the place to enter it… And for good reason, you have to push open the large fridge doors set within the Da Vito pizzeria to discover the bar.
Once inside, the time travel continues with some devices coming straight from the 20’s, without forgetting the decoration from yesteryear like this ancient record player set beneath vintage leather sofas.
And as each cocktail bar worthy of its name, Moonshiner chose to delight your taste buds by offering drinks based on whisky like the Kentucy’s best Manhattan (with Eagle Rare bourbon and Maraschino cherry), or based on vodka or gin such as the Safran Julep or the Salsa Verde, the Aperol Spritz or the Smokey Island…
And good news for smoking people, the place features a smoking room.
In short, to relive the prohibition, head to Moonshiner.
