Le Perchoir Porte de Versailles: a rooftop terrace-restaurant at the heart of an urban farm

Le Perchoir Porte de Versailles will open its doors in summer 2020. With a 250 m² restaurant and 489 m² terrace, and 14,000 m² of urban culture, it's sure to appeal to many Parisians. Le Perchoir Porte de Versailles was the first of its kind to open on the Left Bank.

This unique concept combines a bar and a restaurant, comfortably installed on the panoramic terrace of Pavilion 6 at the Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versaille. Discover and relax in a place where nature is the very essence of the project, thanks to the collaboration with interior designer Fanny Perrier of Studio Perrier.

Through this project, Le Perchoir confirms its commitment to a responsible approach. Working with short and ultra-short circuits, Le Perchoir Porte de Versailles offers a menu featuring produce grown by Nature Urbaine on their urban farm. Once they reach this floor, customers are surprised to find themselves facing the world's largest rooftop urban farm. Escape guaranteed!

The menu changes with the seasons, and here's a glimpse of what we discovered when we visited. We love the pretty combinations, cleverly enlivened by fresh herbs. The Stuffed Egg starter is a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. As for the main course, the Pork Belly is meltingly tender, and the Pollack, very well cooked, goes wonderfully well with the still-crisp asparagus. Finally, the Perles du Japon with strawberry and rhubarb compote is a light delight to end this meal on a high note.

Starters cost between €12 and €15, main courses €25 and desserts €11. A lunch menu is available from €25 to €29. Count €9 to €16 for cocktails and mocktails.

• Spring stuffed egg, toasted brioche, fresh peas, citrus fruit & peanut mint syphon
• Scallops, dashi broth & jasmine flower
• Grilled octopus, sweet onion soubise, black garlic, tomato caramel & crispy chickpea tuile
  

Main courses:

• Pan-fried yellow & green zucchini, redcurrants, vegetable jus & smoked green zucchini syphon
• Cod poached in ribot milk, glazed cucumber, cockles & black sesame sauce
• Pork belly, vitelotte purée, red fruit condiment, vitelotte chips, meat jus & sobatcha
• Yellow Pollack confit with butter, asparagus, shizo & multicolored radishes
  

And to finish on a sweet note, the desserts:

• Roasted rice ice cream, raspberry couli & fresh cherries
• Japanese pearls with coconut milk, rhubarb compote, strawberries & crumble
