We're off to the outskirts of the 15th arrondissement, in Vanves to be precise, just a stone's throw from the Parc des Expositions de Paris Porte de Versailles, to discover French Kiss, a restaurant seating 200 indoors and 100 on the terrace, which is preparing a festive program to liven up your evenings and weekends.
Located on the 9th floor of the new Eklo Paris hotel , this rooftop restaurant boasts a breathtaking view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower.
French Kiss is a new living space with a modern guinguette feel, offering a festive French setting. Whether it's for a relaxing break or a moment of sharing with friends, family or colleagues, French Kiss promises a wide range of entertainment: DJ sessions, shows, sports broadcasts on the big screen and much more. In short, imagine having a good time, while enjoying snacks dreamt up by Chef Sylvain Thiebaud.
On site, we're greeted by a retro, trendy decor designed by Studio Janreji. Raw materials and modern elements combine to create a welcoming atmosphere. Particular attention has been paid to lighting, to highlight emblematic elements such as the large red banquettes and the imposing central bar.
We love the "graphs" by Bordeaux artist Rebecca Bourbigot, with their nods to French kissing, which add a contemporary touch to the whole, and the table settings, which range from duos to group tables to small children's tables. And if you like vintage games, an 80s arcade machine awaits you. On sunny days, the large terrace and its sublime view will undoubtedly be The Place to be.
At French Kiss, the cuisine is convivial, reflecting a return to our roots with dishes that evoke family gatherings. The spot makes a point of using quality products, sourced locally and in keeping with the seasons, offering a varied range from platters to revisited French dishes such as homemade cordon bleu or XXL brochette.
At the helm is Chef Sylvain Thiebaud. Having worked in semi-gastronomic restaurants, he decided to return to simplicity and authenticity after becoming a father. Joining the French Kiss team, he found an echo of his aspirations, helping to make this a welcoming space where every detail, from the decor to the names of the dishes, celebrates love and sharing. The weekend brunch crowns this culinary experience, offering a warm, gourmet break in complete conviviality.
We tested the brunch for ourselves! Every weekend, on Saturdays and Sundays, the spot offers brunch at €32 per person (€15 for children aged 3 to 12). This includes hot drinks, fruit juices, pastries, homemade hot dishes and an all-you-can-eat sweet and savory buffet.
After a croissant and hot coffee with granola, we went for the oysters, various cheeses, Caesar and cucumber salad, quiche and charcuterie before moving on to chicken confit with onions, rice and squash. Finally, for dessert that day, tarte tatin, chocolate mousse and fruit salad were on the program. Add a nice cocktail, some popcorn and you've got your fill.
The restaurant is open from 12pm to 2:30pm and from 7pm to 10:30pm. Brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am to 3pm. Breakfast is available from 6am to 9:30am and an "All Day" service is offered from 3pm to 7pm.
So, why not climb up to the 9th floor to discover this new rooftop?
