Le Ballu is the hotel in the 9th arrondissement that takes you into a world reminiscent of comic strips. If you're feeling a little hungry, there's also a lovely garden where you can enjoy the restaurant's dishes.

If you love the lush, colorful world of comics, and more specifically of the ligne claire movement (the drawing style of Hergé et al.), then you're sure to love the design of the new hotel that has just opened in the 9th arrondissement:Hotel Le Ballu .

With its vintage spirit, Hotel Le Ballu takes you to an imaginary land, a nod to Syldavia, the fictional country that first appeared in the album Ottokar's Sceptre in the Adventures of Tintin. Inspiration comes from a variety of sources: comic strips, of course, but also thearchitecture of Eastern Europe in the 1960s. Inside, 37 rooms (5 with terrace) on 5 floors with 1 suite, 3 junior-suites and 1 deluxe.

Le Ballu also boasts a restaurant, headed by chef Michaël Riss, who uses regional and local produce from small-scale producers to create a traditional yet creative cuisine. Pastry chef Pierre Marie offers an inventive dessert menu, accompanied by a selection of world teas in the afternoon . To savor all this, take advantage of the pretty hidden garden with 40 seats.

And if you feel like it, Le Ballu also has a swimming pool and spa in the basement!
