Hôtel R de Paris, Parisian art de vivre

Hôtel R de Paris has opened on Rue Blanche, not far from the theaters and department stores that attract so many tourists. In a completely refurbished establishment, this hotel offers guests the chance to live as if in a chic Parisian apartment. A great opportunity for visiting foreigners to discover the French art of living!

The Hotel R de Paris has sought to revive the aesthetic tradition of the private mansions that made Paris history, while adapting this classic spirit to the 21st century: sober design, the finest materials(Carrara marble, leather from Tassin, Hungarian-tipped parquet flooring...) and meticulous attention to detail make this new hotel a luxurious place, but one in which you feel right at home.

Laurent Maugoust, the interior designer, wanted to recreate the decor of a Parisian apartment, with all its cachet and comfort. Mouldings and marble fireplaces in the bedrooms, and a common room that resembles a solid oak library, all contribute to making guests feel at home. Noble materials take pride of place, with wood, leather and herringbone parquet flooring, and furniture with soft, clean lines...

The rooms at Hotel R de Paris offer guests the chance to sleep in the luxury and comfort of the finest Parisian apartments. The luxury is discreet and refers to the tradition of the great French luxury houses, with headboards replaced by a wall covered in leather from Tassin, cupboard doors with a relief reminiscent of the jewel cases of the great names in French luxury, silver mosaics and Italian-style basins in the bathrooms.

TV screens are integrated into the mirrors above the fireplaces, and the closet interiors are made of oak with sliding doors and illuminated by laids, Meljac switches, Flos fixtures and a chromotherapy system in the bathrooms. The furniture is inspired by the 40s.

The common areas are subdued, with walls lined with Hermés wallpaper and a carpet designed by Laurent Maugoust, in pure wool 1500 g/m². The old screened elevator has been preserved to reinforce the traditional Parisian spirit of the place, and its spiral staircase, complemented by a modern elevator serving the upper floors.

In the basement, a fitness room dug into the stone, and a real Bisazza mosaic hammam for a little moment of relaxation! The Hôtel R de Paris wanted to recreate this Parisian art de vivre to give its guests the impression that they were staying in Paris. Mission accomplished for the team, who succeeded in turning this hotel into a pretty little setting, luxurious but not ostentatious or cozy.
