Parisian hotel duo Christophe Sauvage and Philippe Vaurs, founders of the Elegancia collection, with their friend and artist Julie Gauthron return to give the 1st arrondissement some color, with L'Hôtel Crayon Rouge.
Inspired by the Exquise Esquisse suite in the 1st Hôtel Crayon, the decor is sparkling and retro chic. The little extra touch is that the place celebrates wine, Christophe Sauvage's 2nd passion.
In all, you can choose from 17 rooms with Julie Gauthron's artistic signature. Wallpapers with floral motifs or animated happy characters telescope with tangy colors like apple green, candy pink, turquoise blue or lemon yellow.
Accompanied by Christophe Sauvage and Philippe Vaurs at the Paris flea market, she hunted out vintage furniture and objects. Her finds include a small couture bedside table, a Louis Philippe or Venetian mirror, a Baumann Traineau chair from the 50s, a Louis XVI period secretary desk... All rarities that give this hotel a unique character.
The 17 rooms include 3 Junior Suites with their own unique atmosphere
The living room is just as warm and inviting. Designed in the spirit of a guest house, it features an open kitchen and a large oak table around which you can enjoy breakfast, refreshments or work.
Lovers of French wine, owners Philippe Vaurs and Christophe Sauvage wanted to share their passion by creating a wine bar, which is also open to outside customers . Here, you can discover vintages from French producers through a unique sensory approach, from spicy to fruity to floral.
Whether you come here for a glass of wine or to sleep, you'll appreciate the colorful, lively world of this boutique hotel!
