A newcomer to Elegancia Hotels, the Idol Hotel is sure to please music lovers... Indeed, music-loving owner Yann Gasparini, brought up on jazz and soul-funk, called on Julie Gauthon to give it a funky, groovy feel.
It offers 27 rooms and 5 suites, dedicated to the icons of Soul and Funk. Choose from Lady Soul, Moon Blue, My Chérie Amour, Jungle Fever, Give me the Night, Light My Fire...
They are decorated like record sleeves, colored with the famous labels Stax Records or Motown. The atmosphere is vintage and colorful, with duck blue and gold, fuchsia and olive green, yellow and red...
Julie Gauthron's attention to detail led her to play with textures, wallpapers, corian furniture in flashy shades and ball lamps in a nod to Studio 54... She's thought of everything to transport customers to the heart of the 70s!
As the Idol Hotel is a dedication to music, it features a special soundtrack. Yann Gasparini called on François Mazza aka "DJ Maz", renowned record dealer and bassist with the Paris Funk Orchestra, a specialist in Black music from the 60s/70s/80s. He selected vinyl records and placed Elipson's emblematic "Planet L" spheres in the rooms, as well as old turntables in the common areas.
A surprising hotel that's sure to be a hit with 70s music fans!
