L'Hôtel des Bulles is the jewel in the crown desired by Elise Crouin, a young owner, hotel manager and great lover of fine bubbles. While searching for the perfect premises to carry out her project, she came across the Hotel California Saint-Germain and its authentic cellar.
So it's at 32 rue des Ecoles, almost opposite the Collège de France, that Elise Crouin has taken up residence for her unusual project: a hotel dedicated to Champagne! Les Bulles de Paris opened its doors after several months of major renovations, and what a success it has been... You can come for a night or for wine tastings, in a chic and glamorous atmosphere.
Sandrine Alouf, the interior designer, created all the spaces - the bar and 37 rooms - on esoteric themes linked to champagne: champagne and women, champagne and art, champagne and Paris, champagne and celebration, and champagne and love.
Every object is a nod to champagne, from the gold edging to the coffee tables reminiscent of corkscrews (the metal parts that prevent the cork from popping).
The hotel's special feature? Seven suites decorated in the colors of a (guest) Champagne House: Bollinger, Charles Heidsieck, De Castellane, Duval Leroy, Lanson, Nicolas Feuillate, Pommery. In each room, a bottle of champagne awaits connoisseurs- ideal for couples!
And the visual highlight is the Chambre Amélie, with its open-air bathtub, a nod to the work of Amélie Nothomb; there's nothing to stop us taking a champagne bath, with the added bonus of a beautiful view over the rooftops of Paris and Notre Dame Cathedral!
So, will you resist the call of the bubbles?
