Entre 2 Rives, the typical Vietnamese restaurant of Opera

Do you like Vietnamese cuisine? Pho, banh xeo, banh cuon and other crunchy nems await you at Entre 2 Rives. Located between the Palais Garnier and the Palais Brongniart, this little restaurant, well known to regulars, is a favorite in the Opéra district.

If you're in the mood for Vietnamese food, here's an address we love. Of course, the house serves excellent pho, the typical noodle soup, Vietnam's national dish. But you'll also find a variety of traditional dishes such as spring rolls and egg rolls, banh cuon and banh bo lot (rice with shrimp, wrapped in banana leaf).

A real canteen for locals and a great address for those who want their taste buds to travel, this Vietnamese restaurant offers good value for money. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a decor that blends modernity and Vietnamese culture. The service is fast and smiling, and we love the advice given by the hostess.

On our visit, we were tempted by banh cuon (Vietnamese pancakes stuffed with chicken and black mushrooms, drizzled with nuoc mam), crispy egg rolls and spring rolls (€8 to €9 each).

On sunny days, or whenever you feel like it, you can enjoy papaya salad (€11) or grapefruit and shrimp salad.

When it comes to food, you can't go past the famous phở, especially when it's cold, but not just that, because let's not forget, it's not really cold in Vietnam and, for the record, this noodle soup is often eaten for breakfast.

You can also try the famous Banh Xèo (17€), a crispy Vietnamese pancake with mung beans, stuffed with pork and shrimp. Note that it's only available in the evening and on Saturdays. We grab some pieces, wrap them in salad, dip them in fish sauce and we're in heaven.

For the adventurous gourmet, the house offers a Vietnamese burger with crispy wonton patties.

The tasty, affordable dishes, pleasant atmosphere and friendly service make it an ideal place to have lunch or dinner in the area.
