Paris is dancing Summer Sweat: a new clubbing & voguing evening at Le Virage in Paris

The Paris is Dancing evenings are back in Paris! The 13th and next edition of this not-to-be-missed event for voguing and clubbing lovers awaits us on June 22, 2024, and will take place for the first time at the La Nuit club in the capital's 9th arrondissement. Called Paris is Dancing (a reference to the famous documentary Paris is Burning), this festive concept celebrating love in all its forms invites you to experience a lively evening surrounded by talented performers.

But what exactly is voguing? It's an urban dance inspired by the world of fashion shows, which originated in the 70s. As they walk, dancers rhythm their steps with arm and hand movements reminiscent of magazine cover poses. This is an iconic dance of the famous bals.

Until the wee hours of the morning, the Paris is Dancing party will be the place to be while enjoying a line-up of hand-picked artists. Discover the program:

Berghain/Panorama Bar resident Roi Perez will be headlining, along with Sylvere. Parisian DJ and producer Gonthier kicks things off at 11pm with a 2-hour set of percussive house and jersey beats. Tim Zouari, DJ, performer and artistic director of Paris is Dancing, will close with 2 hours of organic, melodic techno.

Sylvere is resident DJ at La Creole and on RInse FM, her music has a techno sound but is inspired by Dance Hall and Caribbean culture. She promises to set the mood for this summer evening!
