Konpa, or kompa, or compas direk, is the new Parisian lifestyle where lovers of warm Afro-Caribbean amapiano ambiances can chill, dance, meet and be entertained. See you SATURDAY DECEMBER 21TH 2024 between 8pm and 5am!

Want to learn to dance konpa and gouyad? This is the event for you! The evening will start with a class/workshop to learn how to dance between 8pm and 11pm. So bring your friends and get ready to learn konpa!

And from 11pm onwards, the second part of the evening will feature a KONPA & GOUYAD EVENING, hosted by musical virtuosos, to showcase the richness of konpa from the 1970s to the present day, at GOUYAD.

The evening will be hosted by 3 DJs: DJ NISSA, the live konpa specialist. She'll transport you live, but don't worry, you'll be at a party; DJ TOXYQ, who lives music like never before. He mixes gouyad with an afterthought of zouk, but don't worry, you'll be thrilled by his universe. And finally, DJ MOMENTO, the Eiffel Tower DJ. He'll get you grooving to the sounds of the moment, and it'll be time to get wiggy on the dancefloor!

The evening takes place in a lively, welcoming venue, open to others and the world: the Maison de la Conversation.

  • 8pm-9pm: welcome of participants
  • 9-10pm: konpa class
  • 22h-23h: gouyad class
  • 11pm-05am: konpa & gouyad party with 3DJ
