Attention Marvel superhero fans! The New York Hotel - The Art of Marvel, located in Disneyland Paris, awaits you since June 21, 2021 and welcomes you in its beautiful modern spaces, worthy of the Big Apple hotels. The hotel has been revamped to bring you the inspiring and dynamic art of Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and Spider-Man.

Marvel superheroes are packing their bags for Disneyland Paris... but not just any hotel! After offering the Season of Superheroes for several years, the Parisian park has opened its brand new hotel, Disney's Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, on June 21, 2021. After several years of renovation work, Disney's Hotel New York, the resort's flagship, is getting a facelift to integrate the universe ofIron Man, Captain America and all the Avengers into its atmosphere. The renovation is an integral part of the investment planned to expand the Walt Disney Studios park, with three new lands.

It was due to open in summer 2020, but coronavirus forced the hotel to postpone welcoming its first guests until the Greek calendar. The idea behind this new hotel? To recreate the world of a modern New York art gallery... And the lobby in question seems to serve as a fine showcase for this art gallery. Why? More than 300 works, including some that marked the 80th anniversary of the Maison des Idées, will be on display throughout the hotel.

A huge makeover of its 4-star hotel, renamed "The Art of Marvel" for the occasion. And that's the whole point of the makeover: to show the artistic side of comic books and their influence on modern art, turning the hotel into a veritable museum. All in all, as Tom Müller, Scenic Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering, explains,"more than 110 artists were called upon", for a unique "exhibition"... and an evolving one, since the idea, again according to Tom Müller, is to"continue the installation of works of art within the hotel, even after the opening". The idea:"to engage visitors through art".

A concept taken to its logical conclusion, as between the hotel and the convention center, a veritable art gallery takes its place: the Jack Kirby Legacy Gallery which, as its name suggests, pays homage to one of the pundits of Marvel Comics, creator of numerous superheroes (along with Joe Simon and Stan Lee) such as Captain America, the Fantastic Four, Ant-Man, the Hulk and The Eternals. The gallery will also feature temporary exhibitions linked to current Marvel events. Movie releases, concept art for zones and attractions in foreign parks... These are just some of the topics to be covered by the gallery and hotel. And in the rotunda, a special tribute is paid to the artist, with a permanent collection of 21 comic book covers drawn by the legendary artist.

A new space that promises visitors a plunge"into the heart of the action and epic adventures of their favorite superheroes, from the mystical arts of Doctor Strange to the dizzying feats of Spider-Man". In all, no fewer than 476 standard rooms, 65 executive rooms and eight standard suites, all in the colors of your favorite superheroes, await superhero fans, which you'll be able to open using your smartphone. The refurbishment was made possible thanks to an unprecedented collaboration between Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios.

The idea behind the renovation? To offer"an environment reminiscent of a luxurious, contemporary Manhattan establishment". An urban interior design,"elegant and cosmopolitan, recalling the style and tastes of Tony Stark and the Avengers headquarters" and presenting"Marvel art in a way that reinvents the idea of an 'art hotel'".

There are two restaurants: the Downtown Restaurant, offering an all-you-can-eat buffet and featuring the largest number of works of art in the hotel, and the Manhattan Restaurant, with its tempting à la carte menu and table service. In the latter, a massive chandelier weighing 110 kg and composed of 225 elements of Bohemian blown glass, created in a workshop in Prague, catches the eye as soon as you enter the restaurant. A true work of art that took no less than two years to design, install and produce, its structure echoes Thor's home world of Asgard.

There are also two bars: the Bleecker Street Lounge, in a very New York style and inspired by the Doctor Strange universe, and the Skyline Bar, a typical New York high bar, somewhat resembling Tony Stark's apartments.

The Skyline Bar offers a non-alcoholic drink in Hulk colors, while the Bleecker Street Lounge honors the Sorcerer Supreme with a levitating cocktail... Nothing less!

In terms of decoration, limited editions will be on display in the hotel's rooms and suites, while the public areas will be graced with dazzling works of art for all to see: comics, films, posters, sculptures,Iron Man armor, storyboards, accessories and costumes will all grace the hotel for total immersion.

For families, dedicated children's areas include the Marvel Design Studio, where children can learn to draw their favorite superheroes; the Hero Training Academy, an outdoor sports area offering basketball, yoga and fitness classes; and the Super Hero Station, where hotel guests (and only guests) can take photos with Spider-Man. Last but not least, the Marvel Photos Stations invite hotel guests to take photos of themselves in pictures taken directly from the Marvel universe.
