Heritage Days 2023: events at the Ministry of Sports and the Olympic Games

For the 40th Journées du Patrimoine, the Ministry of Sports and Olympic and Paralympic Games is opening its doors to the general public on September 16 and 17, 2023.

Rugby: the French government recommends to postpone European Club Competition rugby games against British clubs

The Ministry of Sports recommended French clubs to postpone the two European Club Competition rugby games planned on January 16 and 23, 2021 against British clubs in order to curb the spread of Covid-19. Implementing health spaces for the Six Nations Championship is currently under talks.

Curfew: dispensations and crowd-less games of soccer and rugby from 9 p.m.

As French president Emmanuel Marcon has just decreed a curfew in Paris, in Île-de-France and 8 other cities, the Ministry of Sport has confirmed dispensations for professional rugby and soccer games will be available. For the soccer League 1, League 2 championships and rugby Top 14 and D2 tournaments, games scheduled from 9 p.m. will occur without a crowd.

Coronavirus: Soccer back in France

After the Professional Soccer League (LFP) and French Football Federation (FFF) sent to the Ministry of sports the essential health protocol to resume soccer and so that crowds can go back to stadiums, the government gives its green light to soccer and other collective sports. From Monday June 22, “normal” soccer practice is allowed.

Coronavirus: INSEP reopens to welcome sick people

While France is facing an unprecedented health crisis due to the coronavirus epidemic, Sport Minister announces to put some facilities to disposal such as the INSEP (National Institute for Sport and Physical Education) to welcome sick people, homeless people and even medical staff working too far away from their homes.
