From February 23 to March 10, 2019, the Parc Zoologique de Paris invites you to discover a series of activities that give pride of place to Patagonia. For the February break, this first wild encounter of the year will reveal everything you’ve always wanted to know about- among others - the new couple of South-American fur seals.

February break announces the start of a new series of wild encounters at the Parc Zoologique de Paris. This new cycle takes you straight to the Patagonia biozone including a highlight of the new couple of South-American fur seals that has just settled in the Zoo.

As soon as you enter the zoo, you enter Patagonia, a biozone covering 16,570 sqm with varied landscapes. we discover how rich the fauna and the flora are and especially newcomers: a couple of South-American fur seals.

On the menu: every day will have its share of workshops, you can attend the feeding of the park’s vicunas, penguins and cougars, meet experts and take part in culinary workshops and learn more thanks to special exhibitions.

  • Feedings:

Sea lions, penguins, vicunas, rheas, cougars... Animals from Patagonia will be given pride of place! Everyday, healers and intermediaries will present species and allow you to observe them during feeding sessions. Some of you can even be part of the meal distribution process...

  • Guided tours:

With your family or friends, go for a 90-minute stroll through the Patagonia biozone. observe seals, penguins, cougars, pudus... Thanks to the explanations of our guides. Discover how plants from the biozone embody Patagonia natural environments, go behind the scenes to understand the work carried out by healers but most of all, have fun: the tour is filled with small quizzes, feathers to touch and challenges to face up!

  • Culinary workshops:

To discover the culinary arts from Patagonia, there's nothing like pitching in! Get your chef hat and your apron to prepare typical dishes. Various worlshops are available for families during the day and adults in the evening (program coming soon). After after using all your talents preparing dishes, enjoy the friendly tasting!

  • A mini-exhibition:

Dive into the heart of Patagonia. Discover its large landscapes between mountains, glaciers, pampas, forest... - the richness of its biodiversity and culture as well as the threats weighing on those ecosystems.

All year long, the "Rendez-Vous Sauvages" follow one another and offer focu on the park's species:

  • Southern America seals during the Rendez-vous Sauvage Patagonie from February 23 to March 10
  • Ring-tailed coatis during the Rendez-vous Sauvage Amazonie-Guyane from April 6 to May 5
  • Suricates and bat-eared foxes during the Rendez-vous Sauvage Afrique from July 6 to September 1
  • Cold blob during the Rendez-vous Sauvage Europe from October 19 to November 3
  • Brownbanded bamboo shark during the Rendez-vous Sauvage Madagascar from December 21 to January 5

In other words, the Zoo de Vincennes offers many things to discover about wild animals all year long to make sur you have a lovely time with your family if the sun deigns to show up.
