The Château de Chantilly will be open from February 18 to March 5, during the winter school vacations, for activities that will entertain young and old. On the program? Guided tours, equestrian activities and many other surprises...

The Chantilly castle is not only a magnificent monument located north of Paris: it is also the place that will make our February and March vacations much more fun! From February 18 to March 5, 2023, we'll be at the Chantilly estate for fun visits, creative workshops, shows and games that the whole family will enjoy.

Investigate the castle with the historical investigation game to be done from 8 years old (in autonomy), take advantage of the application to make a visit of the place really playful or, unusual guided tours for families and discover the masterpieces of the collections of the castle, walk through the private apartments of the duke of Aumale, who lived in this historical place...

Otherwise, you can learn how to make your own Chantilly cream like a pro, with special workshops around the crêpe, to enjoy this unavoidable dessert with a Chantilly cream made with the family and a delicious chocolate sauce! Equestrian animations are also proposed (price included in your ticket), every day at 2:30 pm and don't miss a walk in the park to see the gardens of the castle and take a little country break with your family!

A new application for an even more exciting visit

All you have to do is let yourself be guided at your own pace thanks to a new tour application. Embedded on your phone, it offers routes to discover the castle, the park and the Grandes Écuries. An immersive cultural experience guaranteed in French or English!

A geolocated historical investigation game

Vatel has disappeared and the whole estate is in danger! Thanks to our historical investigation game, players go back in time to solve the mystery surrounding his disappearance. With friends or family, everyone's brains are put to the test.

How much does it cost? On sale at the castle ticket office: 1,99 € (a code will be given at the time of purchase to start the investigation on the Atlandide application), requires prior installation of the Atlantide application

Unusual visits "Journey to the heart of the collections

For the February vacations, the Château de Chantilly offers you an exceptional visit of the masterpieces of the Condé museum's painting collections which will conclude with the discovery of thetheater library, the Duc d'Aumale's working library.

When? February 13 to March 3, Monday to Friday at 11:30 am and 3:30 pm (except Tuesday)
How much ? 7 € per person, paying from 3 years old

Guided tours of the private apartments of the Duc d'Aumale

Accessible by guided tour and in small groups only, these living spaces, full of memories, are an exclusive testimony to the intimacy of the Duke and Duchess of Aumale.

When ? Monday to Friday at 11am, 3pm and 4pm, weekends at 11am, 3pm, 3:30pm and 4pm (except Tuesday)

Special whipped cream workshops "around the crepe

No need to introduce it, the Chantilly cream is an essential part of French pastry. Throughout the February vacations, the castle offers an exceptional workshop "around the pancake, Chantilly cream and chocolate sauce" to learn how to make real Chantilly cream by hand.

When ? February 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, March 1, 4 and 5, two classes per day at 2 and 4 pm
How much? 6 € for children under 12, 12 € for 12-17 year olds, 17 € for adults (each time in addition to the entrance ticket)

Equestrian activities

During a visit to the Château de Chantilly, head to the Grandes Écuries to attend an equestrian animation. During this commented presentation, a rider explains the basics of horseback riding and reveals some of the secrets of horse training, then a second rider offers a commented rehearsal of a show number with music. An opportunity to meet the horses, donkeys and ponies!

A booklet-game

Designed especially for 6-12 year olds, " A day at the Château de Chantilly " allows children to discover all the treasures of the château, the park and the Grandes Écuries with the help of a booklet full of games.

Activities in the park

Treasure hunt

This treasure hunt is a fun way to explore the grounds of the Château de Chantilly. By answering the different riddles, children will be able to help the Duc d'Aumale's mare to find her lost rider. As a bonus, they will discover the mare's name!

For whom? Designed for children from 6 to 12 years old.
How to get there? Booklet available on site (to be picked up at the castle ticket office) or by download.

Unusual exploration in rented vehicles

The Château de Chantilly offers its visitors the opportunity to cross the centuries and explore the park and gardens in complete freedom. During this tour, they will be able to see the French garden designed by André Le Nôtre, the Grand Canal, Sylvie's House and the Hamlet. A beautiful (re)discovery. For the more adventurous, the walk can be done on the water, thanks to a pedal boat or an electric boat.
