A free family sports Sunday at the Musée de Sèvres!

The Musée National de Céramique in Sèvres invites families to a "Sports Sunday" of free activities and creative workshops, to discover the works of the Musée National de Céramique while having fun. This Sunday, July 7 from 2pm to 5pm, come along in your best sports costume - admission is free!

As part of La Métropolitaine, the international contemporary art event of the Greater Paris Metropolis, which brings together 13 art venues, over 100 artists and more than 60 highlights around the Olympic Games, the Manufacture et Musée nationaux de Sèvres is showcasing artistic works linked to sport and the values of Olympism and Paralympism.

The museum invited painter Claire Tabouret to create a monumental work for the façade of the Musée National de Céramique de Sèvres. The Big Pyramidechoes the Olympic spirit. Inaugurated during the Nuit Blanche on June 1, it will be open to the public until September 22, 2024. And this Sunday, July 7, as part of its free openings on the 1st Sunday of the month, the Musée National de Céramique de Sèvres invites families to a "Sports Sunday"!

For one day, enjoy a marathon of free activities in the collections of this museum, which has been showcasing porcelain pieces made for the State and major national events since 1740. You'll have the chance to discover the trophy vases made by six artists from the Beaux-Arts de Paris, which will be presented to the French gold medalists at the Paris 2024 Games, as well as numerous works made by the manufacture!

An anthology of games and creative activities inspired by the Museum's works and linked to the theme of sport, to get the vacations off to a fun start in the collections. Children can take part in a creative workshop on the world of sport, modeling earthenware according to their imagination. Last workshop at 4.30pm - On-site registration only.

You'll be provided with a booklet-game for exploring the museum in search of works related to sport. The museum is well worth a visit for its impressive collection of over 55,000 ceramic objects. PS: Admission is free, so don't miss out!
