Michpocha, the new family concept and children's playground in the 17th arrondissement

Formerly known as Poppy for Kids, the kid-friendly premises at 37 rue Ampère (Paris 17th) became michpocha in July 2024: a change of tenants and concept, the place becomes the new Headquarters (HQ) for families under the impetus of its two founders, Lola and Clara, two qualified entertainers who want to revolutionize children's free time to make it fun, educational and instructive.

The leimotiv of the premises? To "inspire children and soothe their parents", while enabling children from the age of a few months (and up to 10 years) to marvel at and discover the world around them through play. So, to keep children busy in their free time, michpocha offers a range of activities: firstly, after-school care, with a pick-up service at the end of the school day and nature activities or outings all day on Wednesdays; secondly, vacation mini-colonies, combining outdoor games and creative activities around really fun themes during the vacations; and thirdly, weekend activities. For pitchouns under 3, michpocha invites you into its "garden" so that your pre-schooler can socialize with other babies his or her age, in the mornings and during the week.

Finally, on weekends, it's time to celebrate - for parents and children alike - with the michpocha club: early-learning workshops for little ones aged 0 to 5 in the morning (musical, motor, artistic, etc.), and a "kids club"-style playground for older children aged 4 to 10 in the afternoon.

The weekend is also the time to celebrate your birthday at this frienldy kids' venue, with cake, sweets and even entertainment! On site, michpocha still offers a play area with construction modules, drawing tables, a space dedicated to creative workshops, a kitchen (where culinary workshops will be organized) as well as an area for quiet reading in the hut provided for this purpose.

In short, Michpocha is all about :

• after-school (ages 3 to 10): daily after-school care, all-day Wednesday outings to the countryside.
• le Jardin (under 3s): for children under 3, an hour in the morning for gentle stimulation with a supervisor
• mini-colos (ages 3 to 10): a week-long summer camp with creative activities and outdoor games on a specific theme.
• michpocha Club: early-learning workshops in the mornings (for 0 to 5 year-olds) and kids club in the afternoons (for 3 to 10 year-olds), with birthday party privatization possible.

On the price side, michpocha offers subscriptions or packs of 7 sessions or more, with special rates for siblings. For one-off weekend workshops (early-learning or kids club), expect to pay as little as €12 for an hour of kids club (if booked 24 hours in advance, otherwise €15 on the spot), €25 for a workshop by the hour and €380 for a week of mini-colo.
