Entirely decorated by the famous Jacques Garcia, the 5-star hotel full of history, the Maison Souquet, hides its secrets really well. By entering the house, we sneak in towards the Salon des Petits Bonheurs and discover the house very wonderful cocktail bar.
We quickly recognize the hand of the decorator by coming into a universe untouched by time, that is secret because of its size, its layout and its very muted and authentic atmosphere, because of its history that inhabits all furniture and walls.
You only have to sit down and look at the cocktail list: Elisa, Louise, Valtesse, Manon, Loulou,… All these women, former famous courtesans, takes us back into the place intimate history. We’ll go for Leïla: vodka infused with fresh raspberries, Saint-Germain liquor, orange juice, lemon juice, raspberry, ginger ale. It’s in tribute to a famous Moulin Rouge dancer, Leïla, that this cocktail has been created.
The cocktail comes. Covered with rose petals, its color changes when mixed: we can’t believe our eyes! After being blown-away, it’s time to taste! Very sweet, flavors are definitely worthy of the show!
The Maison Souquet mixologist renews his list every season by being much more creative!
The bonus: cross the winter garden to reach the small inner courtyard.
