Among the secret gastronomic restaurants, the Balthus is a gem we found in the 8th arrondissement in Paris. The restaurant, located within the Villa Saint-Honoré, a luxury residence but open to all, offers the perfect atmosphere for humble lunches. To wait for your guests in a warm setting, the Balthus features a lounge where wines and petit fours are offered!
Then, let’s head to the twenty-cover restaurant (aiming at looking like a family dining room) mainly welcoming traveling families and business lunches.
Every day, the Balthus chef trained at Michel Rostang and Pource brothers, Baptiste Pialot, presents a French menu he revisits with Asian twists.
On the summer menu, the delicious and crispy king prawn tempura and its chili sauce, a bluefin tuna tataki served half-cooked, with roasted sesame seeds and a lightly sour daikon and a soy-yuzu sauce, a minced beef in weeping tiger way and a steam-cooked sea bream wrapped in a banana leaf, or a Black Angus Burger with sesame buns.
Dishes are well presented and you are likely to make wonderful gourmet encounters. The whole is enhanced by Balthus sommelier Thierry Montoya’s bottles.
As a memo, for a smooth business meeting, ask for the private room for 14 guests with TV. It is perfect to get to work but with a luxury twist!
