Fête Nationale 2024 in Champigny-sur-Marne (94): Olympic-themed fireworks display

Every year on July 14th, French citizens and visitors are invited to celebrate the Fête Nationale. For the occasion, the whole country comes alive with a program of traditional festivities, including fireworks displays, popular balls and military parades. The Paris region is no exception to the rule, with communes all over the Ile-de-France unveiling festive events to mark the occasion between July 13 and 14.

Located 10 km southwest of Paris in the Val-de-Marne region, Champigny-sur-Marne offers a pleasant living environment in one of the loops of the Marne River. The surrounding environment is so pleasant that this little corner of the Île-de-France region has been inhabited since prehistoric times, as evidenced by the remains of life found during archaeological digs.

Over the centuries, the commune's inhabitants have left more or less spectacular traces of their passing. Churches and chapels, Cœuilly castle, garden city, Champigny fort, parks and islands, cultural curiosities... A walk to discover all these treasures is a must!
