Comtesse du Barry has unveiled a savoury Advent calendar filled with very, very good things to keep you waiting until D-Day.

For lovers of terrines, rillettes, confits and foie gras, this is the ideal box. 24 days to wait and as many little preserves to unwrap to discover the best specialities of the French terroir . Inside, 14 terrines, three confits, four rillettes and other iconic recipes from the Maison.

Here are just a few to whet your appetite: guinea fowl terrine with apples and Calvados, duck terrine with green pepper, superior goose rillettes, country terrine with hazelnuts, pork rillettes with Espelette pepper, duck supreme, goose terrine with Monbazillac... all for €84.90. Quite simply, we'd like December to last even longer!
