Paris La Défense's Marché de Noël 2024 expands to include a real Christmas ice rink

The Paris la Défense Christmas Market returns from November 14 to December 29, 2024. This year, the market expands to include almost 200 wooden chalets, bringing the parvis de la Défense to life with gift ideas, gourmet stalls and entertainment galore! As an added bonus, a real Christmas ice rink will be set up at the foot of the arch.

Mark your calendars - The Paris La Défense Christmas Market is back! The largest Christmas Market in the Paris region, set up on the Parvis de la Défense, awaits young and old from Thursday November 14 to Sunday December 29, 2024, for a new edition that promises to be bigger and more festive.

The Christmas Village at La Défense will be bigger this year than last. By 2024, it will have grown from 8,400 m² to 14,000 m². The entire Christmas market has been redesigned, and a new face is taking shape on the horizon. It will be centred around two large food courts, where visitors will be able to savour Quebecois, Brazilian, Savoyard and Creole specialities. The village extension, located between the station entrances and the glass roof as it was before 2019, will be embellished by a large, twelve-metre-high fir tree. Opposite it, a vast 1,000 m² tent will be dedicated to the sale of Christmas decorations.

This year, the village will welcome almost 200 merchants, compared with 150 last year. These include a santon maker, and vendors of charcuterie, nougats, chocolates, jewelry, textiles and other decorative items. As in previous years, a crafts area will showcase unique creations.

A major new feature of the 2024 edition is the return of the Christmas ice rink. Set up at the foot of the Grande Arche, this 450 m² natural ice rink is sure to delight ice-skating fans. Opening one week after the inauguration of the Christmas Market, it will remain open until January 5, 2025, at a cost of around 12 euros.
