Once again, Kering is taking part in the Cultural Heritage Days. The French luxury goods group, headed by François Pinault, owns the iconic brands Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron and Pomellato.
For the occasion, opens the doors of its headquarters, housed in the former Hôpital Laennec, at 40 rue de Sèvres in Paris. A sublime building erected between 1634 and 1757, its central chapel welcomes visitors for special events. Such as the Journées du Patrimoine 2024! The site invites visitors to discover this fabulous place steeped in history, where the Pinault Collection dialogues with the exhibition of the moment. Art, but also fashion, flourishes between the old stones of the place, which also reveals a large, spacious and intimate garden.

On September 21 and 22, for the ninth consecutive time, Kering will be taking part in the European Heritage Days, opening the doors of its headquarters, the former Laennec Hospital, at 40, rue de Sèvres in Paris, with an evening event on Saturday.
40, rue de Sèvres is one of Paris' heritage jewels. Known as the home of the Hospice des Incurables, then the Laennec Hospital, it was later the subject of a vast rehabilitation project: subjected to the demands of hospital practice, this architectural masterpiece had undergone numerous alterations to its original appearance.
In 2000, when the French government ceded the entire site to finance the construction of the Georges-Pompidou European Hospital, major redevelopment work was undertaken to restore and enhance the buildings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The challenge was immensely complex: to enhance the premises without betraying their spirit, while respecting the listed or registered sites, such as the chapel built under Louis XIII.
Involved in the restoration project from the outset, Kering has actively contributed to the rebirth of the 17,000 m² of this unique site, which houses Kering's head office. And it was only natural that the Group decided, as soon as it moved in in 2016, to open the doors of its headquarters, offering the public a rare opportunity to discover the history of this exceptional place in order to raise awareness among all generations of the importance of preserving and enhancing heritage.
The Pinault Collection has been participating in the event alongside Kering since 2016, and this year will once again present an unprecedented selection of contemporary artworks designed for the highly singular space of the chapel of the former Laennec hospital.
In the East Cross of Laennec, the Maison Balenciaga will present, as it has every year since 2016, a unique exhibition highlighting an unexpected dialogue between the creations of Cristóbal Balenciaga and the collections of Demna, the Maison's artistic director. A new opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of Balenciaga.
A booklet and children's workshop will be available to enable visitors to discover this exceptional place from a playful angle.
