Lovers of literature and reading of all kinds are invited to join us at the Centre National du Livre for a guided tour and exhibition on September 21, during the Journées du Patrimoine 2024.

Attention reading fans young and old! The Centre national du livre is exceptionally opening its doors for the new edition of the Journées du Patrimoine, on Saturday September 21, 2024. A public establishment of the French Ministry of Culture, the Centre is inviting Parisians, Ile-de-France residents and curious visitors of all ages to take part in free guided or self-guided tours.

The mission of the Centre National du Livre itself is to support all players in the book chain: authors, publishers, booksellers, librarians and organizers of literary events. In this way, the Centre plays an active role in promoting the French-speaking world.

Since January 1986, the Centre National du Livre has been housed in a superb private mansion, theHôtel d'Avejan, and also boasts a small private garden, which is a delight to explore in fine weather. For the Journées du Patrimoine 2024, discover this unique place, with a mission of the utmost importance!
