Saint-Germain Church
The church, dedicated to Saint Germain, Bishop of Paris, was probably the successor to a simple chapel erected by the monks of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés abbey on one of their farms in the Palaiseau area.
Villeras Fort
Explore Fort de Villeras, a hidden historical gem in Saclay!
The fort in a nutshell
May 1871, France loses the war against Prussia and emerges weakened from a conflict that has left it isolated with an undefended border, opening the road to Paris to a new invasion. The defense system had to be rebuilt. General Séré de Rivières, Director of Engineering at the Ministry of War, designed a system of dissuasive fortifications to protect the capital. Fort de Villeras was built between 1876 and 1881.
Ornithological Observatory
Discover the ornithological treasures of Saclay's ponds.
Located on the north shore of the Etang Vieux, the ornithological observatory is a large "nest" on stilts emerging from the reed beds. The Saclay ponds, classified as a Conventional Nature Reserve (RNC), are home to both migratory and breeding birds.

Rotofil tells the story of a farm handover. That of Anaïs.
She didn't take over the family farm, she chose another life. Yet she is faced with a dilemma, and walks a tightrope between injunctions, joy and anger. Her voice mingles with the testimonies of farmers, the drums are her beating drum, and the scenography unfolds live between a parking lot and a green wasteland. Anaïs invites us into her landscapes.
As part of the Encore les Beaux Jours festival, organized by the Communauté d'Agglomération Paris-Saclay and coordinated by the Animakt association.
