The Journées du Patrimoine return on the weekend of September 21 and 22, 2024, for their 41st edition. Paris and the Île-de-France region are answering the call, and we're expecting a vast program of visits and events at the heart of monuments of all kinds. From museums and castles to churches, libraries, fashion temples and even hospitals, this is your chance to explore heritage from every angle. Unmissable monuments and little-known spots get in on the action, and you can even enjoy exceptional visits to places usually closed to the public , including ministries, embassies and major institutions. As you can see, it's a must on the Paris region agenda.
And the Val d'Oise département has no intention of missing out! In all four corners of the 95, numerous communes are getting in on the act, showcasing their respective historical and artistic heritages through a wide range of visits and monuments. The town of Gonesse , for example, is inviting us to explore its rich history through a wide-ranging program at the heart of its treasures.

As part of the Journées du Patrimoine, on Saturday September 21 at 11am at the Au-ditorium de Coulanges, a tribute will be paid to a local figure who has just passed away. Daisy Guglielmetti was a teacher and headmistress at the Marc Bloch II school in the Fauconnière district from 1988 until her retirement in 1997. She was very attached to this district and passionate about the history of Gonesse. She enjoyed working on the communal archives, and her research led her to write books and numerous articles, notably in the bulletin of the Société d'Histoire et d'Archéologie de Gonesse et du Pays de France. She is the author of a major book on the history of Gonesse: "Gonesse au XXIème siècle, un bourg devient ville". She is also co-author, with Mr JP Blazy, of the book "Le Pays de France en 1900". Her latest major contribution to raising awareness of the town's history was to write, again in collaboration with Jen Pierre Blazy and, this time with Denis Savineaux, the town's former archivist, a major part of the book published to commemorate the hospital's 800th anniversary in 2008.

Scenes played out in immersive settings with amateur actors. From the entrance hall, you'll be immersed in the 40s, with an exhibition retracing the key dates of this major conflict.
