The Journées du Patrimoine return this year on Saturday September 21 and Sunday September 22, 2024 for the new, 41st edition of the event, with the themes of"Heritage of routes, networks and connections" and"Maritime heritage".
As in previous years, this major cultural event is an opportunity to push open the doors of numerous museums and monuments, major institutions, castles, churches and cultural centers, as well as unusual, hidden or little-known places, free of charge.

Once again this year, several museums, hospitals and medical institutions are taking part in the Journées du Patrimoine, including the Musée de Moulages, nestled in the Hôpital Saint-Louis, and the Musée de l'AP-HP in the 94 district of Paris.
Located in Kremlin-Bicêtre, Val-de-Marne, the Musée de l'AP-HP, Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Paris, opened its doors in 1934. Today, it enjoys " Musée de France " status. It is also under the dual supervision of the Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris and the Ministry of Culture. Steeped in history, 13,000 works and objects, representative of hospital life from the Middle Ages to the present day, form part of this fascinating museum's collections, some of which are on view to visitors.
Come and discover them, as well as enjoy a range of activities, on September 21 and 22, 2024, during the new, 40th edition of the Journées du Patrimoine (registration required).
Young and old, come and arm yourselves with paintbrushes to give new color to the history of physical activities in hospitals. A joyful moment guaranteed!
The AP-HP archives invite you to come and discover their new exhibition "Mouiller le maillot! Physical activities in hospitals (19th - 20th centuries)". Here, you'll meet the people and hospital sites that played a decisive role in the advent of physical activities in hospitals to repair bodies and minds.
Discover Bicêtre Hospital (AP-HP) as you tour the massacre courtyard, the Grand Reservoir and the 18th-century well, retracing its history as a place of assistance, state prison and asylum.
The tour ends at the Archives, where the exhibition "Mouiller le Maillot!
