TheEtablissement Français du Sang (EFS) wishes to highlight the players who bring the blood donation chain to life, while raising public awareness of this important act, with its INfusion exhibition, presented on the walls of Bercy Village, from September 19, 2024 to January 12, 2025.
This free photo exhibition unveils 30 portraits, 30 stories that tell the realities and behind-the-scenes stories of blood donation, the ideals that drive those who make it possible to collect and distribute blood. Doctors and nurses, drivers, lab assistants, blood drive coordinators, administrative staff: behind every donation are many people, all of whom are essential to this life-saving act.
Photographer Antoine Vincens de Tapol went out to meet these professionals, to immortalize their commitment. The faces of these behind-the-scenes players are brought to light, their stories told through photographs sometimes taken on the spot, in the middle of their work. These shots show the reality of this act of giving, the beauty as well as the difficulties of the profession.
The INfusion exhibition aims to create a closer, more intimate link between the public, donors, and professionals working for blood donation. The journey from donor to patient takes shape in this chain of passionate workers.
In parallel with this exhibition, the EFS is organizing an awareness-raising week in the aisles of Bercy Village, from October 21 to November 2, 2024.
