Contemporary art is in the spotlight in Paris this autumn: for the third year running, Art Basel Paris presents artists and galleries from all over the world. Taking place in the Grand Palais from October 18 to 20, 2024, this contemporary art fair should once again attract many curious onlookers and culture lovers.
But Art Basel Paris is not confined to the Grand Palais. Art is moving beyond the walls of the monument, and setting up shop in various iconic locations in the capital, including the forecourt of the Institut de France, the Hôtel de la Marine, the Musée Eugène Delacroix and the Domaine du Palais-Royal.
Exhibitions and installations take up residence in these cultural sites, offering visitors a welcome artistic moment. This contemporary art trail begins as soon as you leave the Grand Palais, with an open-air exhibition onavenue Winston Churchill.
From October 15 to 20, 2024, the avenue, made exclusively pedestrian for the occasion, will host three monumental sculptures by John Chamberlain (USA), Yayoi Kusama (Japan) and Jean Prouvé (France).
Surprising and fascinating, these installations are sure to catch your eye. Each sculpture synthesizes the world of its creator, his or her working techniques and motifs.
