Theater and opera sets, painting, furniture design, interior architecture: artist Richard Peduzzi is a curious and creative jack-of-all-trades, who doesn't hesitate to mix genres and arts to add depth to his work.
The Mobilier National pays tribute to this artist with an exhibition on view from October 16 to December 31, 2024 at the Galerie des Gobelins, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. The Perspective exhibition features a selection of works representing Richard Peduzzi's work and career, from 1972 to the present day. The exhibition also features seven rugs created especially for the occasion by the artist, all referencing the designer's most emblematic works.
In his paintings, theater sets and furniture designs, Richard Peduzzi has always liked to push back boundaries, to break free of frameworks to better showcase his talents. Every object, every stage is transformed into a work of art, where function meets beauty.
Richard Peduzzi draws us into his dreamlike, poetic world, made up of childhood memories and the contemplation of everyday life. The result is colorful geometric figures, plays on light or perspective, touches of humor or emotion that reveal themselves in a detail, a shape or a color.
A prolific artist in many fields, Richard Peduzzi tells his own story in this exhibition, on view at the Mobilier National at the end of the year.
