It is a mythical nightclub, almost impossible to circumvent of the Parisian Night and yet, Le Tango, gay nightclub, was closed since the very first confinement, in March 2020.

Three years later here we are: the Tango, mythical nightclub of Paris, known for its gay culture, finally reopens its doors this weekend of 10, 11 and 12 March 2023.

Since the first confinement (remember, in March 2020), the Tango was closed and still could not reopen because of the health crisis. If the periods of confinements and curfew seem to us now very far, the"Boîte à frissons" will now reopen since the place has just (finally) received the authorization of the Prefecture of Paris to welcome again the public.

In 2021, the Tango was for sale: with the health crisis, making ends meet had become too difficult for the establishment. Then, it is the City of Paris which bought the building in order to preserve this historical institution of the Parisian nights, by transforming in premium the upper floors into eight social housing, according to the media Têtu.

For the occasion, some (small) works have been done: a new bar is now up and running, the floor has been renovated... The nightclub plans to reopen this weekend, and even this Friday 10 and Saturday 11 March, from 22:30.
