The now traditional summer public transport works are back in 2026! During this summer period, when many Parisians leave the capital to go on vacation, the RATP and SNCF are taking the opportunity to carry out planned works on many metro, RER, Transilien, and tram lines! The T2 tram line has already been affected for several months, and the T1 will now be added to the list of disruptions for much of the summer.
Due to preparations for the arrival of future metro lines 15, 16, 17, and 18 and the replacement of certain rails, the T1 will experience successive major service interruptions. The line will be closed between Bobigny – Pablo Picasso and Gare de Noisy-le-Sec stations from June1 to August 31, 2026, as well as between Asnières – Quatre Routes and La Courneuve 8 mai 1945 stations from July 13 to August 28, 2026.
Île-de-France Mobilités indicates that the extent of these closures is also due to the ongoing interruption following the incident on the Île-Saint-Denis bridge on May 15, 2025, involving a cruise ship.
