In the metro, line 11 is to be extended to the east, with the opening of 6 new stations and a new terminus in Seine-Saint-Denis: Rosny-Bois-Perrier. While the inauguration of this extension is scheduled for"early June" 2024, work continues on this famous brown metro line, with further full and partial closures scheduled between now and May 2024.

RATP is therefore announcing the partial closure of line 11 for 16 consecutive days this spring. Specifically, line 11 will be closed all day between Belleville and Mairie des Lilas stations, from Friday April 12 to Saturday April 27, 2024. For the duration of this partial closure, Pyrénées, Jourdain, Place des Fêtes, Télégraphe, Porte des Lilas and Place des Lilas stations will be inaccessible, and Belleville station will become the temporary terminus.

RATP explains that this new closure is to " enable testing of the new MP14 trains on the existing line, in preparation for the extension ". The Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens is therefore inviting passengers to transfer to connecting metro, bus, RER and tramway lines, such as RER line A, as well as lines 1, 3 and 4. In addition, replacement buses will be in place to serve the closed stations throughout this traffic disruption.
